The scene near a house in the 3100 block of Osage Street where two U.S. Marshals and one St. Louis city police officer were shot was at times chaotic on Tuesday.  Pictured above family and friends of Carlos Boles, who was shot and killed as authorities tried arrest him, fight in a park near the shooting scene.  Emotions ran high in the crowd that gathered as word spread that Boles was killed during the incident.  No one was seriously hurt in the scuffle between family and friends.
  
A gurney holding the unidentified torso of a man found in the Mississippi River this summer is framed in the identification window at the St. Louis morgue.  The St. Louis medical examier's office is hoping DNA testing of the torso will reveal the name of the person.  While his is officially known as by his case number 2010-1480, workers at the morgue have taken to calling him "Riverman".
  
A St. Louis Police officer carries a paper cut of a body to mark the spot where a shooting victim, who was transported to the hospital, laid on the ground in the 4400 block of Greer. The victim of the shooting later died from his wounds.
     
  
  
Grave digger Adam Osborne, 24, center, and other workers from Lake Charles Park Cemetery lower 16 year-old Jade Hamilton's coffin into her grave after her funeral.  Hamilton had been sitting in a car at Mount Pleasant Park when three young men approached the car and began shooting, striking her in the neck, police said.  "It doesn't make sense," grumbled Osborne, 24,  "Someone gets shot, then someone gets shot for that, then someone gets shot for that...Do they think it's going to end by killing somebody?"
  
Bonnie Buss, center, and Charlie Otten, search through a file cabinet that was pulled out of the wreckage of a fire at Wenneman's Meat Market in St. Libory on Thursday.  The pair was looking to rescue the company's meat recipes, which they found a little charred but intact.  Buss worked at the company for 20 years as a secretary and Otten is the father of Paul Otten, who is one of the owners of the business.

Donna Mielenz, a medical technologist in the virology lab at St. John's Mercy, uses a  fluorescence microscope to examine slides for viruses on Friday.  The lab at St. Johns has been getting busier as the flu season begins ramping up.  "We're peaking now" said Mielenz.
     
  
Fire fighters battle a blaze at Murry's Autobody in the 5600 block of MLK Drive.  No one was hurt fire that spewed huge billows of dark smoke into the morning sky.
